Biography


Lulu Jones was born and raised in the smiling coast of West Africa, Banjul, The Gambia. Lulu works mainly in 3D art using

stone and clay, and loves the freedom and flexibility of the materials. Her art is a reflection of her faith and her personal

experiences, with a focus on the cycle and order of life. Lulu earned an Associate degree in Art Education at Montgomery

College in Rockville Maryland, and in the Fall of 2012 earned a degree in Art Education at Kennesaw State University in

Kennesaw Georgia. Lulu has worked as an educator at the Corcoran Gallery of Art + Design in Washington D.C., and as an

elementary school art teacher at Frederick County Public Schools in Frederick Maryland and Richland School District in

Richland Washington. She is an active member in professional organizations such as the National Art Education 

​Association and the Washington Education Association.
