Artist Statement
As an Art Educator the artworks that I make range across media and techniques,
which include drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics and
crafts. I am more drawn towards three-dimensional art, and love the creative power of molding
and sculpting. I work deliberately using traditional methods, but subconsciously my creative side
takes over and my unique ideas are expressed. My art is a reflection of my faith and my journey
through life, with a focus on the cycle and order of life. As an art educator, teaching art
inspires me because I am making an impact and a difference in someone else’s life. I am honored
and humbled that my art touches the emotions of people, and that my teaching of art will make
an impact in my students lives.
